The Occoneechee COPE and Climbing Program is a component of the Occoneechee Council,Boy Scouts of America.  The Council Headquarters are in Raleigh, North Carolina with facilities at the Occoneechee Scout Reservation in Carthage, NC. We offer a complete package of opportunities to every range of Scout, from Cub Scout up through Venture Crew. Our facilities are open year round for not only scouting groups but non-scouting groups as well.

What will we learn?  Level 1 will learn the basics of running a COPE or Climbing Tower program in a safe environment and understand the basics of BSA National Camp Accreditation Standards.

Level 2 will practice more advanced skills in climbing tower operations involving more hands on training with rescues and course management.

What will we get?  Everyone gets the coveted Orange Tee Shirt. In addition with successful completion you get instruction and certification for 1 year as Level 1 or 3 years as level 2. You get immediate access to the COPE and Climbing pages of information as staff, you will get digital access to all of the most current training manuals and you will be able to assist or run events for your unit in the Durant COPE and Climbing areas.

What is the cost?  $45.00 for in council training as space is available.
When are the classes?  We offer both L-1 and L-2 March 27-29. must be registered, complete YPT and Climb on Safely * Level 1 is a prerequisite for Level 2
